Wildcard Wednesday: Lipsticks and Layovers
I heard that today was National Lipstick Day. This got me thinking that:
- I'd love to see Jai's real lipstick stash. She has a problem and it is a not so well-kept secret. I'm wondering if she'll ever take a picture and show us what's really happening in her lipstick drawer.
- I need more lipsticks.
- Who designated this day?
You should know that I am up in the air on my way to Seattle to witness the Imagine Cup live and in charge. I'm excited! Stay tuned for more deets on that tomorrow and follow #MSFTImagine on social channels for more info.
And...back to lipsticks. About a year and a half ago, Yanira put me on blast on Twitter because all I had was like lip gloss. I've always loved lip color but it was hard for me to figure out what to buy.
That shaming led me to CoverGirl. I think I have 3 different shades. Currently traveling with me: spellbound.
Also traveling with me, 3 Urban Decay (Naked Gloss called Sesso, lipstick in f-bomb and manic) and one Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick selected by the fabulous Casey over at Sephora for my derby party in Melted Fig.
Have you guys looked up your personality based on the shape of your lipstick? There are many of these floating around on the interwebs. I curve my lipsticks though I try to put it on weird so that things can be evened out. Because...lipstick OCD, y'all.
According to what I found on the Bings, a sharp angle on a lipstick means I am (and I quote):
- Opinionated
- High-spirited
- Dislikes schedules
- Selective of friends
- Outgoing likes attention
- Argumentative
Obvs, I have someone else's lipstick. This isn't me, is it? What if some of my lipsticks are concave AND sharp angled? Does this mean I have multiple personalities? I feel like I should buy a new lipstick today as an experiment and to answer this pressing nonimporant question.
How will you be celebrating national lipstick day?
Excuse me while I go stare out at the clouds.
