Sometimes, we’re lucky enough to get more than what we bargained for. That’s exactly what happened to me when i created my most recent International Delight recipe post for chocolate filled croissants. I had extra left over melted chocolate from that recipe and instead of tossing it, i thought i would store it in the freezer for a cool treat later on, and then something magical happened. {GASP}

Yes folks! Once again, i delved into uncharted territory (unfamiliar to me of course), and came back to drop some knowledge on how to make some more tasty treats. “Wow Pedro, you are so talented, all your friends must love you” yes and yes. I’m glad these thoughts were swirling in your noggin, because this indeed is the kind of treat i would make to show my wonderful geeky bunch of friends how much they are appreciated; something that they could enjoy during our game night and score me extra cool kid points.

These truffles are rich in flavor. I really enjoy the contrast of bitter and sweet flavor with the hint of amaretto liqueur. I sprinkled some powdered sugar just for aesthetic reasons, but it does add to the flavor. Be sure to keep these refrigerated (i prefer them in the freezer) so there is no melting. What do you guys think? Let’s be friends and share a game and a treat!
