New Year, More Organized You With #Office365 (free printables)
I'm a Microsoft Office Champion, and this is my sponsored story (insert Law & Order thump here). See below to download a budget template, 2014 calendar and blogger to do list. I'm spending the day getting ready for my first full week of 2014.
Now that I have my word for the year, I want to help you create a more organized you. Because I love you, I’m going to help you stay on track and ready to take this year by storm.
I get lots of questions as to how I keep my OCD organization going. Simple. I use the tools at my fingertips. First, I can't say enough about OneNote. Having this doohickey handy is the best thing since sliced chocolate (I mean seriously, who came up with sliced bread?!). I have a tab in my notebook for each month and then add pages as needed (I like doing weekly pages so that I keep a running tab of what has to be done and can check off what's already been handled). Weekly tabs help me feel more productive because working for myself means that some days I don't get as much handled. This way, I look at my week as a whole instead of my day-to-day. OneNote is really the beginning and ties in everything else. I’ll show you how later.
Mo' Money
Who keeps a budget? I find that I am less stressed when I make room for all of my money. Not knowing where your money goes will ensure you don't know how your money is spent. So, I use Excel to keep me in check. It is so helpful to be able to go back and know exactly what's been going on in my financial life. Lawd knows this Mami brain is incapable of holding all of those details in my remaining brain cells.
Within my budget workbook, I keep a "blogger expenses"tab. This helps me plan out my year and figure out what's what. I find it helpful because I can put a number on that at the beginning of the year and then double check as the year goes along to make sure I'm sticking with it.
iBlog
And speaking of blogging, I keep an editorial calendar in WordPress but, I have recently started creating my own organizer (stay tuned for more details on that). Guess what I used to create it? Microsoft Publisher! I've been using Publisher since my days as a category manager where I was in charge of creating a semi-annual product catalog. I've been a fan ever since. I am able to create the pages that I need in a format that is user friendly and that works for me.
All Roads Lead to OneNote
Okay so are you ready for this? Are you? I can drop my Excel spreadsheets into OneNote and edit them later (in Excel). Shut yo mouth!
Oh and if you're wondering about my blogger organizer? I PDF my pages and then I can drop them in to OneNote and type/write in whatever I want.
Yes, I am doing the happy dance. The cool thing is that I can print it from there and add to a binder if I should want to kill trees and keep the paper mills in business. Lots of ways to do it and all with one tool: Office 365.
I'm feeling rather sharey today so I will share a simple budget template as well as a calendar and a weekly to do list to keep you bloggers out there organized. Just sign up for my newsletter and get the files delivered to your inbox!
Tell me, how do you keep yourself organized and productive throughout the year?
