Happytizers at Bahama Breeze!

Last month I had a chance to preview Bahama Breeze's new rice bowls. It was great because not only did I get to eat great food but I got to meet up with my friends Karina and Yadira as we buttoned up a few things for Social Influenz. Bahama Breeze has been a favorite place for me for as long as I can remember. And I mean, like since right after I got out of college. I have spent well over 50% of my last birthdays there including this last one. That was actually the first time I heard of the appetizer happy hour. The waitress shared the info with us and I seriously felt like that was my birthday present. Here are three of the (I'm not disclosing the total amount) apps that I had FOR HALF OFF!
Even though we weren't out late, the girls and I got to experience some new appetizers along with rice bowls. I can tell you that I'm glad I ate before writing this post because thinking about it has me salivating.

BB-ChipotleBeefBowl

I had this. The chipotle rice bowl. I wish I could come up with better words to describe it. I promise to take notes when I watch Iron Chef because they usually have some pretty awesome words to describe the food they taste. Right now the only word that comes to my head when I see that is: yum. Okay so back to the half-price appetizers (I'd like to call them happytizers). The Happytizers are ahmazing. I love this deal because more than stuffing my face with that rice bowl above, I love to stuff my face with many different types of yumminess. My favorites? I have a special affinity for the Crispy Onion Rings, Coconut Shrimp, Beef Empanadas, Jamaican Chicken Wings and Classic Cheeseburger Sliders...yeah um, I'm sure I've missed some others. Not only are there happytizers but there are also yummy specialty cocktails to along with them. Did I tell you that there are 33 locations across the country? Because there are!

So they have two new additions to their specialty list: the Daisy de Santiago – A Chilean favorite with Bacardi Superior, chartreuse, and lime juice; and the Yaka Hula Hickey Dula – a drink which originated from the Hawaiian Islands and features Myers Dark Rum, pineapple juice, grenadine and a splash of Riesling. I haven't tried either one of these (because I have been sticking with the bahamarita) but I know what I'll try next time I'm there!
